LP1 visit Winchester Cathedral
Friday 3rd March 2017
The tour of Winchester Cathedral was fascinating and LP1 learned much about its Anglo-Saxon origins and its colourful history. There was time for quiet reflection and the opportunity to stand at the grave of Jane Austen. During the Anglo-Saxon workshops, the boys dressed as Monks and learned about the daily routines of the Monks who lived there one thousand years ago. They also practised illuminated writing and made brooches. Thank you to Cheryl Bryan, the Education Officer at Winchester Cathedral, for organising such a wonderful experience for the boys in LP1.
