The end of June saw the school Environment Week. Much fun was had by all in and outside of the classroom. The boys went on trips to Painshill Park, The Living Rainforest and The Natural History Museum. We finished the week with an assembly to celebrate all of the work that the boys had done. The assembly opened with a performance of ‘The Litter Muncher’ – a Pre-Prep Drama Club masterpiece, directed by Mrs Murray.
A tough act to follow; representatives from each year stood up and showed the school some examples of the work they had done. Each year group brought something different to the assembly. Reception spoke beautifully about the cress that they had grown, PP2 showcased their butterfly feeders, LP2 spoke about their trip to the Living Rainforest and about the “Bug Books” they had made for Reception. The Prep boys read the haiku poetry they had written along with “Found Poems” and poems about a perfect world. The Elements boys closed the assembly by showing the research projects that they had done following on from their guided walk around Wimbledon Common.
Thank you to all the staff for their help and support throughout the week.
