Helen and Rick spent the morning telling the boys about the way the Tudors lived, spoke, dressed, danced and played. They showed them some amazing costumes which the boys were allowed to dress up in. Some of the brave boys became maidens, the others masters. We watched them perform using a variety of new and old instruments from the Crusader and Tudor eras, the Hurdy-Gurdy, Sagbut, Bagpipes, Harp, Tabor and pipe were enjoyed by all the boys. To end the morning the boys learnt and performed a dance called a ‘Bransle’.
The boys thoroughly enjoyed their afternoon and learnt a great deal about the Tudor era.
