The following musical opportunities are available at Donhead:

The Donhead Choir (this is an auditioned choir and boys are selected to be members)
Senior Choir (this Choir is open to all boys in the Prep School and can also serve as a 'nursery' to the Donhead Choir.  The Senior Choir give their own concert each term.
The Pre-Prep Choir (this involves all boys in Years 1 and 2.
The chamber orchestra
The brass band
Guitar Group

In addition, an Inter-House Music Competition is held each year involving every member of the school.  A mixture of groups singing and individual performances make up the House presentation in competition for the Inter-House Music Shield.

Most terms, concerts are held and these allow children to perform publicly, both individually and as members of a group.

There is also the opportunity of having individual tuition on the following instruments during school hours by a team of peripatetic teachers.

Piano Violin Guitar (acoustic & electric)
Flute Clarinet Trumpet
Saxophone Trombone
