Choosing the right school for your child is one of the most difficult and important decisions that you will make. Each school is different and each has its own character and individuality.
At Donhead we aim to offer education at its most varied, providing a curriculum that is both academically challenging as well as recognising the importance of all areas of a child’s development. All our pupils are encouraged to develop their talents to the full, whilst placing them in the wider context of the community. In this way a pupil’s development and growth is not just personal, but is sensitive to the needs and aspirations of others both in and beyond the school. Our aim is to instil a sense of ‘service’ and concern for others in the pupils of today, in pursuit of the Jesuit ideal of developing men and women for others.
We recognise the importance of, and actively encourage, the development of the family atmosphere which is so readily apparent to all who visit our school. Parents are the first and most important educators of their children and we encourage parents to be as fully involved as possible in the education of their sons.
We have always been a relatively small school and this means that all pupils are seen as individuals by all the staff. Although a Roman Catholic school, we are pleased to receive enquiries from other Christian denominations and faiths.
I hope our website will give an insight into the wide range of opportunities available at Donhead. For a fuller view I hope many of you will pay a personal visit to our school. You will be made very welcome.
