Inspection Comment The school has a clear, well-defined system of rewards and sanctions, which is loaded very much on the side of positive appreciation and contributes substantially both to the pupils’ pride in their work and to the high standards of behaviour observed in all parts of the school.

Prizes

Prizes for academic achievement and effort are awarded each year at our Day of Celebration in July. Awards are made on the basis of performance in the summer examinations and teacher recommendation. Prizes are also awarded for effort and involvement in school life and activities.

Merit Certificates

Merit Certificates are awarded for achievement or effort worthy of particular commendation in studies, service to the school or community, sport or extra-curricular activities. These are awarded at Assembly.

Coupons

Coupons are awarded for a positive contribution in any area of school life. Coupons are entered in the back of the Homework Diary. A total of 100 coupons entitle a member of the winning House to attend the House Tea.

Headmaster’s Commendation Certificate

Headmaster’s Commendation Certificates are awarded to all boys who have gained over 50 coupons a week on three separate occasions through the term. The certificate is also awarded for exceptional work.

Colours

Full Colours (U11) in Elements are awarded to pupils who have achieved outstanding performance and commitment in the major sports.

St Ignatius Award

This is awarded to boys who show exceptional commitment to our core values of courtesy, care and consideration for all.
