School policy is that homework is set to a structured homework timetable.

Year 1

30 minutes of literacy homework is issued on a Monday
30 minutes of numeracy homework is issued on a Wednesday
Literacy and numeracy homework is sent home on a Friday

Year 2

45 minutes of literacy homework is issued on a Monday
45 minutes of numeracy homework is issued on a Wednesday
Literacy and numeracy homework is sent home on a Friday

A Homework Diary is issued to all pupils and subject teachers ensure that pupils record in it all the homework set. The homework diary must be signed by the parent each week. This diary will be checked by the form teacher each Monday morning. Homework diaries can also be used as an effective channel of communication between home and school via the form teacher.
