Inspection Comments
The pupils have an outstanding attitude to learning and their achievement, academically and in extra-curricular activities, is good and often excellent.
Pupils throughout the school have good knowledge and skills for their age and abilities over the full range of subjects and in other activities outside the classroom, and their achievements are sometimes outstanding.
The attitude of all pupils towards their work is excellent, and it is one of the school’s notable strengths. |
The children all receive a broad and balanced curriculum. Aspects of literacy and numeracy are timetabled each day. Every child is heard to read regularly, and reading books are sent home for further reading.
Weekly spelling tests are learnt, and these are monitored to ensure they are used during independent writing sessions. The curriculum includes weekly lessons in RE, Science. Music PE, Games, Art, Design Technology, French, History and Geography.
