School Development

Play areas developed 2013
During the summer of 2013 the lawn and playground were developed with the installation of a 3G artificial surface in both areas. A 22mm rubber layer was installed in both areas to ensure a soft surface. Overall, the play areas for the children have been transformed, both in terms of quality and safety.

Berchman Building 2010

New Dining Room & Kitchen 2010
Through the summer of 2010 both the kitchen and the dining room were extended and completely refurbished to give a catering facility, the quality of which, we hope, will be the equal of any school.

New Music Practice Rooms and Resources Centre
August 2010 saw the completion of the refurbishment of the basement area at the school, providing 3 new music practice rooms and a resources centre.

St Ignatius Building 2006
Donhead completed a two-phased development programme in 2006 at a total cost of £1.5m. Phase 1 has given us a new entrance and reception area, together with boys’ toilets and changing rooms.
Phase 2 is the new St Ignatius Building which gives us a new sports hall, ICT Suite, Music Centre and Art Room.

Jesuit education believes in the total formation of each pupil, be it in his physical, creative, academic, emotional or spiritual development. We are very confident that our building development will aid us as we aim to achieve this more fully.
